On my desktop computer TE, extra tables, and EcuControl open fine. On my 2 xp laptops, EcuControl does not open at all. I have intalled and uninstalled several times with no success. I copied the files over from my desktop as well. I just did all the windows updates as well just to make sure that wasnt the problem.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Below is the TE resource file:

you seem to be missing the logworks sdk file. Do you have logworks installed on your laptop?

If not, either:
1. install logworks 3 (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/support/downloads/LogWorks3Setup.exe) and place the mtssdk.ocx file directly in the C:\Program Files\Logworks3\ folder and register it.

2. place the mtssdk.ocx file directly in the C:\Program Files\TurboEDIT PRO\Plugins\EcuControl\ folder and register it.

also check these threads out...

Care to post how you got it to work? This would serve as a good FAQ (and possibly help someone learn how to make a proper installer  ).

He followed your advice to make a separate resources directory, downloaded the EC resources zip file you posted, then manually registered the files.

I downloaded mtssdk.ocx and wanted to put it in my plugins folder and noticed that it was already there.
I replaced it anyway and it fixed the problem.

thanx!
