Hello everybody,
I'm lurking for a while now and I already undertook some steps into my first 'fine-tuning'. (I'm really excited to start soon
) I saw 2 threads already opened by other drivers, but I got a bit ashamed about their questions.
Since my ECU is not known yet, I found myself a dead ECU (this things are €700 so I better be safe) and wanted to use that one to rip it open and post some pictures, but as I removed the metal case from the ECU I was stunned that the entire circuit board was manufactured within some 'plastic'. I tried trimming the 'plastic' but very soon I hit a big ceramic plate.
I think its a dead-end for me here; but maybe somebody has some suggestions? (maybe putting the dead ECU in hot water?)
I also found that 1 connector on my ECU has a few unused pins, but I could find any info about those pins it in the shop manual.
Any suggestions or help would be great to this newbie!
