Change new HC14, still error code 4, how can port ic1 ic2 damage? just measure HIC1 pin8, pin12, pin17 with multimeter dcv 20 range check. Pin19 with ac range check.

PIN.8 -Output logic TDC
Switch ON - 4.88Vdc
Engine RUN - 4.16vdc
Throttle padel 3.5k rpm - +-4.16vdc

PIN.12 -Output logic CYP
Switch ON - 4.60vdc
Engine RUN - 4.36vdc
Throttle padel 3.5k rpm - 3.86vdc

PIN.17 -Output logic CKP
Switch ON - 4.93vdc
Engine RUN - 2.66vdc
Throttle padel 3.5k rpm - +- 2.66vdc

PIN.19 INPUT CKP-P
Switch ON - 0 ~ AC
Engine RUN idle - 3.00 ~ AC
Throttle padel 3.5k rpm - 10.00 ~ AC

The output signals are not analog (voltage) signals but rectangular digital signals whose frequency depends on the engine speed.

Thank you dip for the information, it is possible IC1-66207 damage cause CEL 4? Because as i trace, all the circuit for CKP related only in HIC1 and HC14 also to CY-ZH 5151A 332 47B board..

*Oscilloscope....i need you..

To check the HIC4 hydrid module you must have a frequency generator and an oscilloscope.

You inject a sinusoidal signal instead of the sensor and at the output of the module you must have a rectangular signal of the same frequency than input.

Crank sensor signal = +/- 250mV sinus wave
Crank signal after trigger in the module = 5v square wave

Thank you dip, that very help me, i change HIC1 with another damage board, the CEL 4 gone ;).

If the HIC1 board can repairable? i just trace all the circuit, but i dont know what IC 277 304 for, and few cap value.

I do not have details of the OBDI module, but for information, here is the information of the corresponding OBDIIa module.

IC OP is comparator (5393 or LM393) http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/stmicroelectronics/2164.pdf

I just compare the component, it bit different on resistor value, and there no way i can know the cap value without capacitance tester. Anyway dip, can obd2 ecu install to obd1 engine? Of cause after converting harness.. Is there any problem with CEL 4,8 and 9 if you ever try? Just want to confirm HIC3 can be use to replace HIC1 obd1..maybe i can try build the board using your circuit to test. :D

I do not know because I've never done and not studied.
My message was for information regarding the use of the comparator (ref: 277 in OBDI1).
