its in the Wiki (never thought ID actualy say that)

But it is kinda tricky to find. you gots to go to the library, then ecu hardware, then find the link for the ecu hardware mods. the p30 should fall under the JDM auto to manual catagory. http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/Lib ... AutoManual

i have seen this page but it looks like there are two mods: 1st mod states to lower the value from 2.4k ohms to 1.4k ohms at rp18 nothing is said about rp17 (does it get removed):2nd mod states this is for board pn: 02d01550-1500 remove rp17 remove rp18 add a jumper to rp18. my ecu has board pn:02d01550-1500 but its not a p08 ecu. i have a jdm p30 mini style ecu

JDM ecu's (square frame) only require RP18 to be changed to 1.4k ohms, leave rp17 as it is, it does not have to be touched. RP18 is the only mod you have to do to convert.

Post subject: what type of resistor?
PostPosted: Thu Apr 20, 2006 2:09 am
would i be able to use a 1.4k ohm (peanut shape) resistor or a surface mount resistor (tiny little square). surface mounted resistor is what i am removeing from rp18. if i need to use surface mount resistor does anyone know where i would be able to get them (part number for smt 1.4k ohm resistor) ?

Yes, a resistor is a resistor!
Just make sure that it will fit into the case without shorting out on something.
I use a 1206 package resistor (smt). Digikey will supply them if you are in the US.

Cant remember off the top of my head,
just search for "1206 1r4" and you should find what you are looking for.

*edit* You can also try Mouser for components in the States!
