no, and don't try it. technically it's possible, but there's a reason it's not done.

There's inexpensive hardware for this coming in the future. Not my project, so I can't say when for sure, but it works and the plan is to make it publicly available.

Ya. This thing has been in the works for some time. :) If he doesn't finish by the end of the year I'll push to take it over.

Is it D.B. that you are talking about?? I believe he's been working on a production kit for awhile, as well as KS, but there are a few others who have made them as well.

Yup, DB. He's just being super cautious in the final phases.

found them: http://www.whiteforddaviesmotorsport.co.uk/
but as i never sow any honda made with their product, i dont want to be the first ;)
the main reason to do this is not because i dont like cables or there is no good alternative for high rpm with cables, but because the lack of space for the distributor cap on my setup .. so my only choice is to have COP setup.

In theory, all you would need is a binary counter and use the single trigger in the dist for a reset... Then, use logic level 5volt trigger coils...

D.B. has had a working prototype for years now, can't wait to get a look at it.

So have I. I even posted the schematics over on the ectune site. It can be done with about $6 in parts.

The issue is cranking time. The honda ECU doesn't sync immediately, which is why it batch fires the injectors during cranking to get the engine to light faster. If you only use the cam signal to sync it, you'll end up cranking for a good 2-3 seconds before the engine starts. The trick is to batch fire the coils as well until the engine syncs up.
