Sorry to be a dip shit but anyone able to data log with this cable, got it from ebay don't know what it is.

It looks like a DLR-3P. I have one, but I haven't experimented with it because my laptop doesn't have a serial port. Your wire colors are different than mine, but I believe you will need to connect four wires. Two for the TTL TX and RX, a ground and +5v power as well I believe. If you still have the phone end of the plug go here http://www.nomad.ee/micros/mbusfbus.gif and match the wires to their functions.

I have beat my head against the wall cant get this thing to work I want to know if anyone has got this exact cable to work

It's impossible to troubleshoot this without knowing which wire colors correspond to which functions. Do you still have the phone end?

For anyone looking for the Radio Shack cable, here's how to find out if there's one near you.

Call, say "I have a part #, I was just wondering if you could tell me how many you have in stock."

If they say 0, ask them to check and see if anyone around has one. They can check (hit F5 :P) who, in your district, has them and how many. If they give you shit, just keep asking... they're belligerent sometimes.
