Even with the newest release and NG63, for some colums, if I try to adjust the cells too high, it will top out and not allow any further adjustment without first changing the fuel multiplier for those cells. Maybe it is just me, but I am not good at estimating what the multipliers need to be for certain columns to allow plenty of "room" while tuning.
Is there any way we can have a self adjusting multiplier? I was thinking that a self scaling / adjusting multiplier would be awesome so that once the values in a particular colum or cell were topped out, it would automatically change the multiplier (and fuel value) to allow higher values in those cells.
My idea behind this is to prevent us from screwing up the fuel multiplier adjustments.

starting with TE 3.2.1, if the "auto fuel multiplier" option is on the column fuel multiplier is used for the largest column fuel value. as fuel values are increased or decreased, each fuel value in that particular column is "looked at" and the fuel multiplier is increased or decreased as necessary...and if it changes then all the fuel values on the rom actually have to change in order to keep the same pulsewidth. look
HERE for a chart showing possible pulsewidths for each column multiplier. there was originally calculations for a multiplier of 0-4, and i've left it like that because anything higher than that and you will run out of duty cycle fast. 0-4 is all that will be used...
if you have "auto fuel multiplier" off and edit your own stuff...do yourself a favor and keep it between 0-4. anything higher and it still uses a multiplier of 4 for the calculations, TE 3.2.2 will fix this issue.
so to answer your question...set the "auto fuel multiplier" in settings to on, then you can just forget that they even exist. hope that makes sense...
*edit... to clarify, the auto fuel multiplier feature was always there...but some unknown bugs were fixed and it was made to work during emulation for TE 3.2.1
