does it happen on startup, or when opening a certain form/rom? look in the TE folder and post the .txt file that is generated (i think its called TEstartuplog.txt, or something similar). do the older versions work for you? download the resource files that i included, and paste them all into the base TurboEdit PRO folder where the .exe file is stored.

let me know what happens...

also make sure the user account controls are disabled if your using vista.

had an error like this when installing the extra tables plugin and uac enabled.

had to uninstall and reinstall the plugin with uac disabled and works fine, although i cant test in the civic as i switched obd1 for a while, see what its all about

I am having slimier problems I can get all of them to work 2.5.2 all the way up to 3.1.10 no problems. I install 3.2.1 and that pops up. I unziped the resource files 1 and 2 and put them both in the turbo edit and turbo edit pro folders? It only happens on start up (wont let me open te) I am running window xp with service pack 3.

Its ether me or my computer failing.

go into the turboedit pro folder and post the TEStartLog.txt file...with any luck this should tell where the issue is.

otherwise, the only extra files used from 3.1.10 to 3.2.1 are the following:
msinet.ocx
comdlg32.dll
scrrun.dll
shdocvw.dll

i didnt include the vb6 runtime files...they should be on your computer already..

sorry for the trouble...tried this on multiple machines before posting and didnt ever run into this issue. :?

good thing i dont do this for a living

if dragging them into the same folder as turboedit.exe doesnt work, then you need to register the files on your computer.

since i no longer have a website or file hosting, and since there is a 2mb limit on uploads here...i had to keep all the files separate. otherwise i would have the installer do all this crap for you...

to register a dll or ocx file, do the following: (this is one of multiple ways to do it)

1. copy or cut all the resource files and paste them into your system folder (most of the time its c:\windows\system32)...but dont overwrite the files that already exist (they may be used by other programs).
2. click Start
3. click Run...
4. type regsvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\system32\msscript.ocx" into the command box
5. click Ok

you should get a message if it was successful or not.
change msscript.ocx for whatever file you are trying to register, ocx or dll...and repeat....

again, sorry for all the trouble with this...it works for most people, but there always seems to be a few installations that need extra work. once its going...you wont have to worry about it anymore.
