what version of ecucontrol are you using? do you have all the settings filled out...or have the calculations turned off?
post a screen shot of the error so we can see what data is filled out and what isnt.

try the newest TE and newest ecucontrol...i can guide you through that.

ecucontrol 6.1.15 - http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=6522
ecucontrol instructions - http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=6449
ecucontrol 5.8.41 (in case you dont have it installed) - http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=6344
TE 3.1.10 - http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=7085
TE 2.5.2 (just in case) - http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=6321

install TE 3.1.10 if you dont have it, then install ecucontrol 6.1.15 (unload your current plugin and load 6.1.15 using the plugin manager in TE). open ecucontrol using TE and post what happens.

press Alt + Print Screen keys and paste it into MS Paint, save the file as a .jpg and upload to your post...

I did what u said and loaded the 6.1.15 its in the drop down for the ecu control but when u click it to open ecu control nothing happens. even if u click the ecu control icon on the top panel nothing still happens.Thats after I have opened a rom. :(

make sure you have ecucontrol 5.8.41 installed (you dont have to use it)...and make sure you have all the support files in the same folder as ecucontrol.dll.

i believe if echartcontrol.ocx isnt in the same folder or in the system32 folder...it more than likely wont open. let me know if all the included files are in the correct folder...and if it still wont work.

also look here...

I'm having problems upgrading from 6.1.11 to 6.1.15. I followed your directions, but the plug-in manager just keeps uploading 6.1.11. I'm not sure that I need to upgrade it though, because 6.1.11 does pretty much all I need so far(I think). I just want to be up to date. Thanks.

I am having a similar issue.
I noticed that in your screenshot of the plugin file folder, you have a lot more items and folders that do not exist in mine. I extracted all files from the compressed folders to the same folder under Plugins, installed, then loaded the plugin.

Here is a screen shot that I get when I click to open ecucontrol from within TE.

NOTE* I do not have the laptop connected to the car. Is this a requirement in order to open EcuControl? I did not think it was; I am trying to familiarize myself with the program a bit before attempting a tune.

thats because you have a stock rom open...no support for datalogging on that. try using an ng rom then open ecucontrol...it should work then.

i will add some error handling stuff for that so you at least know whats going on...

I finally got it to open. I had to reload the plugin after I opened an ng rom apparantly.

however, I can't load the target AFR tables.... I get a pop up box telling me "the specified module could not be found."

Is there a trick to loading the values from the excel file into ecucontrol? I also tried copy / paste, but that does not work.
