I am using Crome 1.5.5 the one that hasu Demon support, it connect's to the ECU and I could also read the map I wrote on the Demon but the car does the strage thing, I have take the jumper off and the car works as normal, but what could be the prob so I could solve it....
If it's better I could also post some pics so you can see if it's done correct.

Many many thanks guy's....

I hear that version doesn't actually work properly for the Demon, but for shits and giggles let's say it does... If you're in limp mode and everything else is setup properly, it's the ECU or socketing job.

Would you like me to take some pic and post it so you can see if the chipping is ok ???
When jumper J1 is disconected it works fine.
How can I check if it's the ecu or the socketing ??

Thanks alot

A picture of the socketing job won't tell me if it's good or not. I've seen some pretty crappy jobs that work and some great ones that don't.

Get a multimeter and test if you think that could be the problem.

You also may want to make sure you've disabled all the appropriate options in the ROM that the ECU and vehicle does not have, like ELD. Make sure that you check your codes to conclude the CEL isn't just a real error code.

You can start by disabling ELD, Injector Test, Knock, Atmospheric Pressure Sensor, and the O2 heater just to see if it gets your CEL to go away. Or you can check the codes.

The simpliest way to check your soldering job is to burn a known-good rom (such as the stock one) to a chip and install it with J1 connected. Ofcoarse you need a chip burner and a couple of chips, but I think these are the minority of tools you must have if you want to chip your ECU. If no check engine, soldering is good. If solid light and the car goes at safe mode (no rev more than 4k) then is a soldering problem.

I had send some pic's to Xenocron and they told me that I need to fill up the solder a bit more, so I did that.
I had put in a chip and the car started and work'd fine, after that I pulled the chip out, put in the Demon and car goes into limb mode again.
No mather what I did it dit not work. after dat I have got the neptune software on mu laptop aswell but no licence for it.
A friend of mine did try to connect to the Demon with neptune and a pop up came on with something abou software on the demon.
I think that the curent software will be removed for the neptune software.
After that I could not connect to the Demon.
When I plug it in the red LED stays on and the green one flashes, when I try to load a bin file it tels me that could not make connection time out or that no RTP was found.

What could be the prob, any help would be great.........

I am using crome free for now but planning on buying crome pro after the Demon work.

Thanks

If you didn't buy a NepTune software license yet, you can't use NepTune with it. That's what the message was about. However, you probably went ahead and set the unit up for NepTune when it prompted you, even though you don't have a license.

This means you need to reset the Demon to get it back to the standard protocol. If crome doesn't have an option for this, I guess he didn't put much thought into support for the Demon.

Or you can buy the NepTune license for *$25* more than Crome Pro would cost you, have access to a ton more features that actually work... and call it a day.

I can't imagine crome doesn't have an option for this.
