I'm really happy that it is resolved, more so for Dave's sanity than anything else.

What is Hondata's username out of curiousity?

Im glad the lawsuit is over, although I should say that I think the lawsuit should have never happened in the first place. All I can say is that I have decided not to buy any hondata products anymore. I took off the s200 I had and switched to crome about two years ago, because I wanted to try to support pgmfi. I always kind of felt that hondata forgot about us and tried to become some kind of big wig. Although hondata makes some good products and being the originator is an accomplishment this lawsuit was the nail in the coffin.

Glad to hear you got this yoke off you neck, hope this doesn't dampen your enthusiasm for the kraft.
As with the lawsuit, we should pool our resources to develop a low cost alternative to Kpro....just smile and hit'm in the purse.

I see where Hondata would benefit to be a "member" (silent or not) this would allow others (meaning us the hobbiest and tuners to do the hardwork/development/research <---- which is where companies spend the major bucks because as we all know time=money. Its was the same when the OBDII project came about and when I started the Ftuner project. We all felt ripped when we saw products hit the public market.

It is also easy for a company to feel threatned by a group of hobbiest or an induvidual posting information and how-to instructions that may come close to a product they offer. But I do believe it is important to allways have a challenge present because without it there would be no "NEW" features or new advancements in commercial products or design.

I dont mean this to be a kick in the Nads to Hondata in anyway. After all we live in a society where the rule of thumb truely seems to be survival of the fittest or a childhood game big bank takes little bank. After all this is a pattern noted on all ideas and inventions. We see it in Microsoft Ford motoring etc. etc..... Inshort things were made developed or invented and some one capitalized from the Hobbiest and the lil dude (meaning the inventor creator developer or group) getting nothing more than a Kudo, Atta-Boy, or Way to go.

Truley Dave my hat goes off to you.
I know how hard it is to develop anything such as a site a forum and drum up the attention of so many.
I also know how complex these systems are and how limited the information (if any) was availible when you first started. To give you guys an idea look at the guys from VW they still cant seem to get off the ground.

All I ask of anyone who starts a group is do it out of the passion if not desire to learn and advance as an individual or group. And not because there is some one or a commercial corporation standing behind you slipping you dollar bills into your pocket.

With this said and done.

Best reguards to all, and once again thank you Dave for starting it all.

Sincerely,

DJEsco
