does anybody know if ecucontrol works with an ecu on the bench?
That is, give the ecu 12v to fire it up, but with absolutely everything else disconnected
... obviously get a pile of CELs flashing, but does anything get spat out the datalogging port? (like zeros!)
I'm finding NOT by the way ... looks like nothing on the datalogging port, even though ecu is running on the bench

I'm using the Moates bench tester and all signals will fire up and you do get an MIL light. This has been verified for stock ECU auto and Manual without being chipped. ( Great way to test ecu if its fried or not especially Junk yard ecu )
The only way for data logging to work is if you actually wired it up to the correct wires for an OBD1 reader. I don't use ECUcontrol so I wouldn't know.
