Well, since TurboEdit is an OBD0 ROM editor and you have an OBD1 ECU, you're probably not going to find a compatible binary. I would suggest using UberData instead, if Crome Pro or a Romulator is out of your budget.

For the record, all free datalogging programs have bugs, so expect to spend some quality time trying to work around them.

Hi thanx, I was under the impression that Turboedit and Ecucontrol also worked with obd1 P30 ecu's is that not correct not? Cause if thats the casue then there is only 1 choice left for me to try "Freelog" for free yeah and none of these apps here work for ODB1. If thats the case it should be working on my OBD0 car and PWO ecu?? which rom shoudl i load Stock PWO or NGR.60 bin to confirm these apps actually work i tried these already on OBD0 PWO Ecu and was told to use Bre instead??? why ??? i Want to use Turboedit and Ecucontrol like everyone mate.

I have a obd0 setup and car when i was trying to get that going i was just told to use Bre and forget the others as they are no for my setup i wanted to use turboedit at the time.

I was told they are OBD1 apps and wont work that included TurboEdit now i am been told the opposite????. I got my OBD0 setup working on Bre, NP with some help and reading here, but i didnt want to use Bre at the time. I wasnt keen on some aspects of it like the single cell edit only etc and stuff like that, it is a great OBD0 app but it isnt Crome, i expected it to be as funcational and fancy. I was hoping it had 3D graphing etc and other feature like crome and turboedit, but for what it lack it more than makes up for, as it's a great reliable obd0 tuning app, its does everything u need stablily and accuratly which i cant say the same for some of the other obd0 apps presently myself.

BRE is solid relaible funcational and works well, but its not fancy and snazzie its a work horse it does its job as its supposed to, and did easliy work which inspired me to move on and try more apps but i will probably end up going back and using BRE becuse i know it works properly for my OBD0 PWO setup np and many others.
I only wish i knew how to make it more fancy and snaz it up abit and give it bling and sex appeal. full respect to Master Ben, O. Obviously there is nothing wrong with it ;D happy with BRE, man

"HAPPY NOW I HOPE MATE LOL" :D

So now your saying TurboEdit & Ecucontrol are not for ODB1 use at all and "DO Not Work" for any Obd1 Ecus, correct and to forget about it Yes?????

How is everyone else doing this what are they using and which of these application free to download here actaully work?? what versions and is there any special install method thats making it work or something? I have tried all the apps many differnnt ways and to be honest Bre, Crome and Freelog worked for far thats all.

Ecucontrol has options for OBD1 ecu in its menu ??? whats that about then?? My P30 pin open in TurboEdit np etc??? Can someone please clear some of this up now i am totally confuse i am sure all anyone is going to say is just buyt CROME as a get out. I just want some stright answers mate.

I tried TurboEdit and Ecucontrol with a Pwo ODBO ecu for months banging my head against the and was told back then to use Bre WTF so i did unhappy there now switchd to OBD1 your saying Turboedit and Ecucontrol are ODO0, whats going on. I brought all the recommended gear and read everything and it jst ant playing ball with me.

Please can u clarify what apps and dataloggers works for OBD0 and OBD1 Ecus. I am totally confused and muddled i guess to much mis-information.

I am trying to find editors and dataloggers here that actaully work, for the apps that they was built for like OBD1 Ecu's. I was under the impression TurboEdit, Crome, Uberdata Editors work for OBD1 ecus. I was under the impression Freelog and Ecucontrol dataloggers also work for OBD1 Ecus not sure about cuddle. I was also under the impression that the Motes gear will work with Tunerpro and Smanager and Hondalog etc.

Can you please help me out i am confused as hell right here.

OBD0 Bin Editors
Bre 2.2.4b2 beta (Editing+datalogging)
Turboedit 3.1.10 (Editor)
Turboedit 3.1.10 + Ecucontrol v6+ Addon(datalogger)
Cuddle (datalogger)

OBD0-1
Ecucontrol 5.8.41 (datalogger)
Freelog 1.0.9 (datalogger
Hondalog (datalogger)

OBD1 Bin Editors
Crome 1.5.3 free (Editor)
Uberdata (Editor datalogger)
Tunerpro ?
Smanager ?

Is that correct?

What combo of free apps will work for my OBD1 P06/P30 Vtec setup please i have tried pretty much everything but i dont know how to use them all i guess and whats for what??? tyvm.

Post subject:  Re: TurboEdit Bins

if you can open the bin in TE, then the ecucontrol plugin should work. im not sure if the datalogging protocol is still correct or if its using old addresses (which is probably the case).

post the bins you are trying to use and any datalogging information you can find.

Pabloe that could have been vastly condensed, please consider editing reiterations first.
Yes TE has nominal OBD1 support, but it was made for OBD0 and primarily used for OBD0, so you'll have a hard time finding an OBD1 bin for it.
Frankly BRE is a better program, but that's obviously just an opinion.
The bottom line is, you're less likely to have a smooth running ROM using nominally supportive software. But if TE is your strict preference, I hope fastcrxsi90 can be of better service than I.

HI ty :D lol sry if u didnt like what u read, i gave it alittle brush over hope it agree's with you ;D

Currently i was just using the stock Crome P30 Bin with DL+RPT applied. I open that up in TurboEdit with no problems its read OBD1 P30 in the bottom of the window so i am guessing it is kewl with the P30 BIN.

I press the Ecucontrol Plugin Button, a Window pops up informing me to use a newer version of TE (3.1.2 or above) to load Map selection. Stock 1.8 bar settings will be used for logging until then. i been ignoring that message and just moving on clicking OK.

Ecucontrol 6.1.15 Plugin for TurboEdit pops up on screen no problems. Its set to stock narrow band for the O2 settings.

When i click connect it connect no problems and start logging. Then all the fun begins and the circus comes to town all clowns come out to play. The gauges are all funny wrong and all the related logged data is a joke, RPS, SPEED, BOOST, WATER, AIR, ECT and all that etc.

That about where i get to mate. I just have a datalogger plugged in and bin loaded on a rom, car works no cels etc. Any advice tips etc would be appreciated to get these working.
I belive this is just the start of my problems. I am sure once all the hardware/software are configured and functioning i will have the added headache of tuning to content with.

I well appreciate all the knowledge that i have aquired from PGMFI forum over the years ;D and luv my honda's double as much, TY Pgmfi and anyone who posts a reply weather is helps or not hehehe.

Hopefully there is a simple fix to this minor irritation/problem. that many of us in a similar situation can benifit from or its just doesnt work at all for my setup anymore and confirmed that its totaly doesnt at all anymore lol so no more time is wasted by noobs like me asking stupid S**T, thats is beyond the scope that the applications were built for initially.

TE/ECUCONTROl Plugin, OBD1 PO6/P30 ECU with VTEC
I am aware TE is for ODB0 ecus but also works with some ODB1 Ecu's also like mine i belive???.

Many thanks
