I've never seen anything like that in any tuning program. I usually just use my right foot to control wheelspin . . .

It seems like that defeats the purpose of having launch control. The driver might as well do a best effort launch and feather the clutch and gas.

The gradient would keep the engine speed from outrunning the vehicle speed. Depending on selected gradient, you could in effect hold predetermined amount of slip.

I think people really want too much from launch control . . .

Launch control is primarily to allow the engine to sit at a point at WOT allowing maximum power at that point (due to maximal mass flow through the engine) where the engine will not bog off the line. That is it. It's not suppose to "control" wheel spin. That is what traction control systems are used for. While I think that is possible, I would not particularly be keen on having anyone who can code spend the time on that until other, more pressing concerns are implemented, tested and released.
