Where can I download ECU control 6.x?

I tried following directions for cvs files, and can't get anything to work.

WTF am I doing wrong?

I think I have the plugin installed, but it doesn't do anything when I try to open it. Do I need to install anything else to get it to work?

For the record, I am really software retarded. Treat me like your idiotic neighbor who thinks the sky is red.

ok...try this.

if you dont have the standalone ecucontrol installed, download it and install it.
http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=6344

then download the plugin v6.1.15.
http://forum.pgmfi.org/download/file.php?id=6522

create a folder, for example: c:\Program Files\TurboEDIT\Plugins\EcuControl, and extract all the files from the zipped 6.1.15 download into that folder.

open TE, then unload the ecucontrol plugin that you currently have installed...if you have one installed. then load the ecucontrol.dll file that is in the folder you just created.

then open ecucontrol thru TE.

let me know if that works, if you still dont get anything...then you will probably have to register that eChartControl.ocx file. i will give you directions for that if you need it.

Ugh, it's been a while. I am bumping this thread.

I got ECU control the standalone to open. Yay!

I have other questions, though:

Do I have to register the MTS dll for the datalogging to work?

Does the Dataloggng plug in only come up if I have the datalogging unit plugged in?

ecucontrol should pop up no matter what, you may get a no mts ports message if nothing is plugged in.

try moving all the included resource files into the same folder as ecucontrol.dll...for some reason, i didnt include mts.dll which is included with the 6.1.5 download (shouldnt need it though). i will check on that one...

if it still doesnt open, look for the AppLog.txt file in the same folder as ecucontrol.dll...if it exists, post the file or what it says.
