Did you guy's ever find a working solution to your IACV issue? |

Not sure exactly what you guy's are using for that, but I came up with an idea (depending on your current solution, no extra parts may be needed). From my understanding, the IACV is a PWM like device and the ecu measures that signal to find out if it is correct. The idea I had is to record the various output values of the IACV (using scope or other device) during various modes of operation. Then, if the engine simulator uses a microprocessor, run the ECU pins for the IACV to the mcu on I/O pins. then use software/PWM on the mcu to drive the ecu pin(s) appropriately. |

Here is some linkage: http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=240 http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=193 I dont really consider the IACV a problem though, sure it would be nice to have a replacement, instead of a hunk of metal on the bench, but just pick up a spare from a breakers and use that. Someday i will draw out the IACV output stage and that'll give an idea on how its obtaining feedback. Going to build my own sim at some point though, as its annoying/impossible to test certain things in real life on an engine. Will post full details on it when it happens, but i cant say when. Is anyone still interested in working on something like this? |

I am for sure. I have a AS in Electronic Engineering, so I should be able to help out. I am learning the asm stuff and wan't to try some things... and don't want to mess up my daily driver. I guess I should dig into the cvs and get up to speed. |

FYI, all the old engine sim files are part of the CVS tree. |
