Ok, I'm kinda real busy and I cannot keep up with the spammers on the site.

Can someone point me or make a registration form that will have some added registration field so we can filter spammers easily ?

For the help, I delete regularly the messages of spammers.

there are many things you can do, the key to keep out spammers is the customization of the subtle changes.
adding a line in the reg form works for a little while but it seems like spammers are even getting around that these days. (likely a crawler that monitors for changes to the reg page, then someone manually entering the changes into a tracker of some sort for everyone to spam with)

you have PM, no need to announce the ideas. :)

just an FYI...i've seen on a few other boards that people have been unable to register due to the current "Skware route" field. ie. What is the Skware route of the log base 10 of 103 ? 3 decimals precision, not rounding up.

i wont post the answer, but apparently the correct answer isn't working...unless im missing something myself. :P

I have setup a phpbb 2 forum that receives no spam bot registrations at all

Sugestion is to
- use normal captcha
- add a authorization code plugin to the registration page

How The Authorization code works

It is merely an extra field in the registration page that has to filled with an specific word.
That word is the code and must be fetched in one sticky post that is posted somewhere in a category in the own forum pages.
Near that field will be a link to that page and a small note advising it.

In the post, the code is not writen in plain text but it is rather an anwser to a question.
The question must be something very trivial that everyone knows, for sure!

In the post, one also adds any extra advice as to whether the word is caps sensitive or whatever.

Before that I had 10 to 30 new registrations per day, average.
This has been working in my forum with 100% sucess for quite few years.

well. I think I have a added bonus that contributes to make this work with 100%. All the question and registration form are in portugues. Perhaps all written in english wotn have so much success.

To keep this quiet... I sugest to admin after reading this message edit it and remove the content described.
