Hello everybody! As the title states Ive never really messed with hondas but have had many other tuners over the years. I got my hands on a del sol with a d16y8 + turbo. Already has the chipped p28 ecu. e85 tune seems to run decent but im looking to dial it in more! So from my experience of EEPROM chip tuning on old redblock volvos, there was two files needed, and .xdf and .bin. The .bin was the actual tune with the parameters you've set while viewing thru the .xdf file. I assume the honda tuning works in a similar fashion? The volvo groups had .xdf files available to download for your corresponding engine/computer. Is there a similar database within this community? I have an ostrich 2.0 and chip burner already, but am seriously considering the hondata s300 as it has alot of really nice features that modern tuners also utilize. How is the user experience with the hondata software versus crome? Any help is much appreciated!

there is no xdf in the honda world. the bin is read directly by the tuning program that you are using. (Chrome, Neptune, eCtune, Hondata, etc)

Support for Chrome vs Hondata is very different.
Hondata is a company with decent support, but the prices to go with it.
Chrome support is mainly this forum and supported by the users.
