New to the forum. Have a 1985 Honda Goldwing GL1200 Limited Edition FI bike. This was the third iteration of the PGMFI for Honda motorcycles, first being the 1982 CX500T and 2nd - CX650T. It is quite complex for the day, having integrated the CFI system with the travel computer and dash. My '85 GW is my long term retirement project. Have been maintaining/working/touring with it for the past 5 years.

The ECU is quite robust but if it stops working the bike can easily become a boat anchor so to speak. Have been researching and browsing the web for a suitable alternative, but other than some used ECUs (not a popular item) there is no such unit out there. Looked into the Megasquirt and Speeduino project as an alternative and have settled on the Speeduino project as a possible substitute.

Having mentioned the above, will browse the various threads to increase my knowledge and understanding of the Honda PGMFI system. Look forward to some very good reading.

Cheers
