Hi all

I have a 93 Honda accord exi, Japanese model if it makes any difference. As the title suggests, I have been having a problem where at times the car won't start. It will turn over but no start. Sometimes it
starts but dise a few seconds later. At first I thought it might be spark, but that was not the case after checking. I noticed that sometimes my fuel pump was not priming. I thought it was the main relay so I pulled it out, thoroughly inspected it but found no indication of any bad solder points or anything wrong with it. I pulled the multimeter out and found that the main relay was getting power.

I then thought maybe I should see if there are any OBD codes. When I did this the S light flashed. When trying to research the codes I could only find information on the check engine light and the D4 light nothing about the S light.

So, first question is; where else should I be looking to solve the intermittent non start issue? and secondly, is the codes given from the S light the same as the check engine light or something completely different?

Thank you

Make sure you also check your thermostat ground. Take it off and clean it. If I remember right that’s where your ecu and I believe the fuel pump or main relay is grounded.
