Hello guys I will get right to it.
I have a p28 I got for free, board number is02d011f0-1500 it is all ready socketed.
right above the socket J1 looks like it had something soldered to it but is no longer there.

Then on the connector side there is what looks like R135 with 3 visible solder traces on the top.

it kinda looks like the trace is lifting but I think I can fix the lifting.

I know you guys are better with this stuff then most any other forum around so I hope to hear from you guys in a positive manner...
since it was free I would like to try and fix it, Ive been doing electrical for some time and think that if it is possible to fix that I could do it. I just don't know if its right or not never messed with ECU's. generally I wouldn't let something like this out if I did the work but I didn't.

Now my questions, is it worth trying to fix? and if so what components would I need to get if any are needed? If you think it is not worth it could you explain why you do not believe it can be fixed?

THANK YOU

well I guess I'm retarded?
J1 being cut should just keep it from trying to read from the rom chip. so it should be in a basemap?
and r135 is actually q31.

Evap driver burnt out from IAT being plugged into it, not a big deal, you just loose purge solenoid function, and J1 is cut so it will run on stock P28 rom, possibly because the external rom circuit isn't working and they just put it back to stock.

Well the guy said the ecu didn't work but he also doesn't know much about what he is doing. he had picked it up and hes running a 12:1 z6 on a stock p06... so its a crap shoot if it works but when I saw the ECU I recognized it was a p28 chipped and the price was right... I havent tried it yet though... so theoretically it should work yet, I will try it in place of a regular ecu if I can find someone to let me use their car as a guinea pig... but is there a way to bench test an ecu without a full engine simulator?
thanks again!
