Hi everyone!

Need an advice on the following question.
I'm almost finished my swap. Currently the setup is JDM B16A OBD1, auto converted to manual. I/H/E.

Do I need to reburn the P30 ECU with the stock P30 B16A map or I'll be fine with "old automatic" data?

My task for now is to make the car drivable like stock B16A manual.

Thank you in advance for your comments

perform an auto to manual ECU conversion, and the ECU and engine should run fine.

Thank you for the feedback. The conversion is already done, so I'll be starting the car next week.

The car is up and running. The conversion ended fine and it runs great. Still there are some things that concern me.
- My redline on my converted (auto to manual) P30 is 8000. As I know on manual it is 8500 by default. Could someone confirm this?
- VTEC engages at 5700 and on manual it is 5500?

The issue is that I'd like to move these to default manual parameters and I already chipped the ECU and burned a chip with stock P30 JDM B16A from Crome 1.6.5. The car runs different but not as good as with stock (automatic) map. I've changed only Redline and VTEC.

Can anyone please advice on this? Are there any points what I missed?

Thanx in advance

you may not be using the right rom. go to the bin repository and download all the p30 rom dumps until you get one that works right.
you may also want to disable (or enable) some sensors, namely ELD but optionally the barometer and O2, especially if you have the most trouble operating at partial throttle.
in addition, it is Crome, which means there is no guarantee it will run right without fully tuning it. and even then, there's still no guarantee.

Thanks for the advice. I've already gathered several bins and going to try them tomorrow. The problem is that I have a B16A JDM with 170bhp from a 92' Del Sol. It seems that it is one of the first OBD1 B!6A engines. Will post the results here.

Also if somebody can recommend a tuner from the Baltics region (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) or near - I'd be more them greatfull!

You might try the P30G rom, or importing the JDM PR3 maps which are designed for the 170hp B16A.
At any rate you can't go wrong with adding more fuel to dampen knocking until you can tune it.

Finally tested today.

For the info - P30G solved it all. Thank you!
