Are all your sensors reading correctly in the ecu (through datalogging)? VSS is a common one, but could be a few others.

Errrmm I'm not sure. I have no way of data logging. When the engine was in the aerodeck vtec worked fine. I would get a fault code for speed sensor wouldn't I. I'm sure I dissabled the speed check in crome.

Thanks for all the help mate!

Iv tried my other p28 which has a different map on it and still no vtec. But this one brought up code 36, traction control. Iv searched and someone said to dissable injector test circuit. So I will try that tomorrow. But would this cause the vtec not too work?

Did you get anywhere? I'm after a map for a friend for a UK B18C4 also!

Sorry to hijack, a friend of mine has asked if I can burn him a chip for his brothers engine conversion, he has an OBD1 B18C4 Engine, and is using a Conversion loom also so it sounds like the same kind of setup perhaps? He has IAB's at the moment. I cannot find a b18c4 base map anywhere!? Will a p72 coded rom work on a p28 ecu once socketed so that the IABS can be enabled for now?

My understanding is that B18C4, B18C2 and B18C1 are all the same. C2 is Aus/NZ spec, and C1 is USA spec - AKA 'GSR'.

P72 ROM should do the job for any of the above.
