This is not related but what dose the p30 options byte hack do in crome. Its a noob question so I thought I would keep it the newbie’s form.

It is just to enable the options to work? I have been using it on all my roms but have no clue what is really dose.LOL I did also search did not find much.

which of these are non vtec ?

im in the uk and these seem to be uk specific engine codes only. both engines are vtec-e

d15z3 = 240cc yellowy/white injector tips
d15z8 = 190cc dark green injector tips

doesnt make much sence to me why they would put smaller injectors on a more powerfull engine probably better atomisation or response time or something
both sets measure 12ohms saturated type (no resitor box)

VTEC-E = the engine's design was not intended to make power like the normal VTEC design.

open the plugin in notepad (fixoptionbytesP30.cpf) you'll find this at the top.

This script should make all the options (ELD, Speed limiter, etc.) work properly in Crome.

I would call it a bandaid, all though a very effective one.
No one has dug into the function of it nor spent any time to develop anything better.
IMO, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

that is awesome, had no idea they could be opened in notepad like that, although i guess i should have since they are just javascript right? ah i'm a newb.

looks like it just sets a bunch of stuff to 00, not sure how that helps.

I've never dug into what those locations are... but keep in mind that 00 doesn't always mean nothing. Sometimes 00 means to not disable something. (I so enjoy negative logic)

your better off finding who wrote it and asking them. Im willing to bet that they just did what ever to make it work and doesnt really know what the values mean either.

Also, keep in mind most of the plug-ins were created for free.
support isn't easy to get even when you pay for something.
