Hi PGMFI member ,
Just want to clarify why some programmer want to disbale some sensor ?
what actually to do with it ?
if we didnt disable the sensor will it effect engine performance ?
disable knock sensor
disable ELD
disable atmospheric pressure sensor
disable injector test sensor
disable oxygen sensor (open loop)
disable oxygen sensor heater
disable VTEC speed check
disable VTEC coolant temp check

enable debug mode ( disable O2 and more )

for normal bin file i only see it has only disable this
disable atmospheric pressure sensor
disable injector test sensor

enable debug mode ( disable O2 and more )

Could someone please clarify ....
thanks .

almost all OBD1 CELs will change the way the car runs.
Quote:
disable knock sensor
- some hardware does not have a knock board
Quote:
disable ELD
some cars do not have the ELD (non-USDM)
Quote:
disable atmospheric pressure sensor
some ECUs do not have the hardware (non-USDM ECUs)
Quote:
disable injector test sensor
some ECUs do not have the hardware (non-USDM ECUs)
Quote:
disable oxygen sensor (open loop)
necessary to tune the maps
Quote:
disable oxygen sensor heater
some ECUs do not have heater control, and a wideband has it's own heater control.
Quote:
disable VTEC speed check
if the car is having speedo problems, disabling this makes VTEC work correctly. can also be sued for non automotive honda aplications (buggies, boats)
Quote:
disable VTEC coolant temp check
bypass ECT sensor problems to make VTEC work correctly
Quote:
enable debug mode ( disable O2 and more )
manditory to tune maps

It depends on which ECU you are using. If you open a base P30 bin, it has the sensors disabled for the JDM P30 hardware, same with a P28 or P72 bin.

All though IMO running all the time with debug mode enabled is not a good idea.
