Greets everyone! Please forgive my noobishness but I have an easy question concerning a PO6. I have 2 here that I was thinking about chipping but they're slightly different. The first is my original '93 del sol ecu 37820-PO6-A00 and it looks exactly like the pics that I've been studying before I began this ordeal. The other one I have came from a junked '94 del sol with a d15 motor (major damage to the front end but I'm pretty sure it's still a d15) and it's a 37820-PO6-A02. The second one, however, is much different. The area to be chipped which is marked by the dashed lines already has components soldered in. From what I can tell is hasn't been modified with the non-vtec to vtec conversion, and the chips that are mounted look professsionally installed from the factory. The main chip looks to be a UV erasable chip due to the circular indentation on the top and the tape that's covering it up. Other than the normal markings on such a chip, the only other lettering is "G3" on the top near the notch. My original intention had been to mod this ecu first but I'm assuming I only need to add the ZIF socket and I'll be set. The resistor checks out as 1k and I'm pretty sure the caps are .1uF; also the jumper is installed.
Could someone clue me in as to what this is before I screw it up...
Thanks!
