I feel the title says enough. Curious as to why? I guess I can understand that there would in fact be an overwhelming amount of noobish posts. Or things in the wrong forums. But that stuff gets posted anyway. I just feel that there would be more activity in the forum more support. And. Would allow peoples answers to be answered much faster than the current process. So....... Please enlighten me?

I'll bet this has more to do with users with low post counts...

It's to protect against spammers. I'd think that would be one of the first reasons thought of.

It is to prevent spammers pretty much, this site has had a lot in the past, and some still get through. Im not entirely sure why it selects those that it does for requiring approval, but it does and those people need their first few posts approved.

Makes perfect sense now. That is great what to monitor new members and their intentions for being here. Although time consuming for the moderators that have to approve topics. I just made a new topic in the obd1 forum. It showed up right away, guess I'm no spammer then. YAY ME! Thanx again for clarification
