I would like to know what aluminum alloy the '98 B18C1 head is cast from. I need some weld work to be performed and I want to make sure I get the correct filler rod for the job.

Thanks.

Thank you to all who responded. I would have figured with all of the abundance of knowledge from all of you here on the forum that someone would have either known the answer to this one or could have directed me to a location with the answer.

Thanks again.

Thanks anyway, I already got it welded up on Sunday. There was VERY little porosity in the Honda casting and the guy who welded it used 5000 series rod, I think. Anyway, its at the machine shop right now.

Thanks again...
