Ok, I'd like to be able to use the ng48 rom for the datalogging capabilities, but I realized that it may not work with an automatic since the code is pm6 and the automatic routines have been compromised to enable vtec (when necessary).

Is there are way to modify the ng48 code to still use an automatic transmission? This is going on a pm7 ecu BTW...

[EDIT]
OK, I've since learned that the ROMs between autos and manuals are identical for pm7/pm6s etc.

My new question is still similar... does the ng48 rom STILL contain automatic lockup controls? So, if vtec is not enabled, it functions correctly?

If vtec is disabled, it functions correctly. Datalogging is somewhat broken currently. Make sure the vtecline byte is set to something other than the auto trans lockup solenoid line - 00 should be safe.

thanks for the reply!

I know the vtec selection byte is at 7FF1, but this isn't the same as the line byte i think...

ack! I can't find the vtec line byte.... is that what the "control byte" entry in turboedit is for?

thanks
