Heh.

Anybody got a few DPI aka throttle body Civic injectors laying around? I need some for R&D. DPI are bigger than MPFI injectors, so I need some to flow test and trial fit to a manifold. They could be a very affordable alternative to what some of the DSM boys want for their 450cc's now a days.

watch out for the 'auxiliary injectors' - i hear the coil breaks pretty frequently. and i think the fuel pressure is different, too.

I'll take whatever you have. Four minimum if possible, so I have a full set to test if I like how they flow. If only one, two, etc, I'll be fine - more curious than anything.

I'm trying to add some injector pics and specs to my collection of OEM compressor maps, turbo and IC pics on my webspace.

realize also that the two injectors in the throttle body are unique, that is, the main is not swappable with the auxiliary. You probably already knew that, but I figured I'd make it known...

im using chrsler injector in my honda $150 for 4 53pph i beleive thats 500cc
you have to redrill the fuel rail for the bigger o-rings and shin it up above cuase there slightly taller but it pretty easy. i yank the rail studs and use thick washers and a few bolts. the honda injector connectors plug right in.

http://www.relentlessracing.com check them out there.

are you thinking of making a custom fuel rail. I'll try to send you some pics if you don't have any yet.

Sean: which chrysler injectors? I picked up a set of injectors and the injector subharness from a 2.0L Turbo Dodge Shadow ES. How big are they? (he says as he looks for the DIY-EFI site...)

factory turbo chrsler injectors are 27pph which is 340cc i do beleive plenty for a 1.6l upto 6500rpm at 18psi of boost with 65psi of fuel pressure at 18psi of boost. that answer your question ?

340s will only support about 210whp on a turbo Honda, so 18psi should just make it. Rather than drill the rail we turn the plastic step on the top of the injector down so that it will fit into the rail. The wide o-ring groove can be solved by using two Honda o-rings, one above the other. And you still have to add about 2.5mm of spacer to the rail studs. Using the DPI injectors will be a challenge since they're side-feed, but I've got one or two you're welcome to.

yeah but dont forget 340cc at stock pw. we can change pw so trust me there big enough. they run upto 20psi on these the mopar turbo guys do and fp is enough to do it. just need a strong pump. back to turbo chrsler there good to 250hp on a 2.2 itll be fine. seens stock pumps survive at 70psi so im inclined to say shove one in there.remember chrsler built more turbo cars then anyone else in history they got there shit dialed.
