Check out megasquirt and ultramegasquirt. Good information on how a basic ECU works. Fills in all the gaps well so makes it easy to understand all ECU's.

I like the idea of completly programming my own ECU. The ECU needs to be at least 32 bit like ultramegasquirt.

Working with the Honda code has its limitations because of the small chip size. 8 or 16 bit and slow.

Hey all,

Melbourne over here, I am starting to do some research on this ECU thingy.
Currently figuring out OBD2 to OBD1 harness conversion.

can`t seem to find it on the post,
