having a problem with a solid CEL
only happens when J1 jumper is switched to mod.
P30-932 in a 94 Civic EX-auto
28 pin dip socket, 373 latch, 2/.004uF(C49&C50), 2/.00001uF(C91&C92)
are there any other locations that I may have missed

I have taken out J4 and put a 1k resistor in R54.
I still get a solid CEL in mod mode.
I will try to put .1uF caps on C51&C52.

someone, anyone, out there, I'm a highly motivated newbie that needs a hand.

I read, for RTP/datalogging w/crome must remove J4. I have a P30-932 w/ JDM B16auto tranny. need to find bins that work, having setup problems.

To clarify,

Fitting a switch on J1 will allow switching between a Standard Map and an Modified map. I Like the sound of that :)

Regards

Chris

Rom socket pin 22>C29>R39(bottom)>66k pin 25
I think it's C92 if so, how to wire if traces between C92>R39 are broke?
Pin 22 and 66k pin 25 have no continuity.

Sorry for asking such a noob question here. Currently a student with low pocket money(Data Logging will be my future work). :P My ride run with standard/stock B16A2 MT JDM anyway.

After reading the texts from PGMFI.ORG..seems like most of the ppl here going for data logging..

I am wondering if just changing the EPROM without using any data logging, is it means i just :
1. Bridge the J1
2. Add the 74hc373 SMD chip
3. Add a 29C256 eprom with bin written to it

or I still have to make more steps like :
4. Add C49 & C50 and C91 & C92 on back
(C49 & C50 --> .004UF)
(C91 & C92 --> .00001UF)

Currently in Penang, Malaysia and making some research on this. Also..trying hard to get the programmers and parts locally..

Thx in advance!!!

Soree..

miss out one step:
5. R54 should be filled with a 1k to 1.2k resistor(the exact value does not matter)

BTW, I checked from the electronic shop just now. The got one super old emulator which the 5"disk installer which I never seen for about ten years.

Can I use other software on that emulator?

Thx a million times.

If you have the small frame JDM ECU them forget about R54, that only applies to the large frame ecu's without the surface mount components.
