So did anyone sucesfully swap the IC1? I think my IC1 is bad and want to replace it, I have a P30-G01 and it has a M66207-318 inside. Can't find an exact same one so I was gona put in an M66207-301. Just wondering if that will work? The chip is NEW so will that work or do I need to program it and if I need to program it is that even possible?
I have the same problem. It's a P29 (1720 borad) with a bad M66207-224. I can't access any new M66207s or even any ECU with this MCU. But I have many M66911 MCUs that are pulled out from Accord ECUs like PT3, PT5, PT6, P3D (which uses the same board as P0A) and P14. All these ECUs have external ROM and I guess that M66911 always looks for an external ROM and has no internal ROM memory. Accord ROMs are more complicated and have more tables. So I guess that M66911 has more RAM memory rather than M66207. Assuming that pinouts are similar in M66207 and M66911, a M66207 can be replaced with a M66911 on a chipped ECU. I searched many hours to find M66911 datasheet but could'nt find it.
Another interesting fact that I realized is that some (or maybe all) Accord TCUs have M66201 which is similar to M66207 but with less internal ROM and RAM. Less RAM means M66207 can't be replaced with a M66201.
Internal ROM : MSM66201 16K bytes, MSM66207 32K bytes
Internal RAM : MSM66201 512 bytes, MSM66207 1024 bytes
Also i checked knock board MCUs and realized that they have different pinouts.
Now I need M66911 datasheet or anyone to confirm that M66911 has the same pinout as M66207 or not. Who can help me in this?
