Hello everybody.

A friend of mine have actually a 5th gen Prelude, with an H22A5 engine and a P5P ECU.
We want to convert the engine to the H22A8 specs, by adding the camshafts and all the others stuffs, including the P5M ECU.

I just want to know if it is possible to remove the P5P immobilizer board and soldering it Inside the P5M ECU .
Will the engine start? Or do we have to use an immobilizer removal board?

Thanks a lot for your answer! :D

What OBD standard are those ECUs? From what I know from Civics, the IMMO boards are different between OBD2a (10 pin) and OBD2b (12 pin). You can just swap them over as long as it's the same design (OBD2a 10 pin <--swap--> OBD2a 10 pin; OBD2b 12 pin <--swap--> OBD2b 12 pin). If you want to make sure, just compare the IMMO boards.

Thanks for the input, these two ECU are OBD2A and share exactly the same board.
So there's a good chance to work :D
