the harness has 3 insulated wires and common wire plus 4 other ones

if anyone has a busted one I would buy it for harness

or where I can get an insulated wire like that

Phone cable are insulated if i remember correctly .

But you may buy the wiring directly to MTX, is there a part number on the cable?

no theres 2 parts to it

theres a plug at the end of gauge harness and theres a middle piece that has different lengths and then sensor plug

I don't really care about middle harness this gauge is gonna be permanently wired into a car and gauge cluster so I can run wires directly to sensor plug I just need to know what goes where

there are 5 wires in sensor plug but there are7 wires and a ground strap in this harness that goes to sensor
the power harness is separate and I know those colors

does the stock engine harness have shielded wire for some sensors?

Yup, distributor sensor wires and the O2 sensor signal wire are shielded.. Maybe others that I can't remember right now..

do I even need that?
seems like the sensor wire doesn't have aluminum shielding just heat shield

This is because when this sensor is used in a factory loom is rarely routed near high energy lines (ignition), AC lines (some sensors, alternator), or lines supplying large current (battery cables, fuse box feeds, ECT). The longer the harness the more important the shielding will become as the amount of electrical interference will compound with length. You can build your harness, then wrap it in foil or steal braided loom and ground that covering. If you use foil, rap it in tape or heat shrink to give it some protection from wear.
