Hello everybody! :D

First, i'm happy to see this forum back, hurray !

Here's my problem:

My engine wiring loom melted and i suppose that the +12v was in contact with some sensors wires
Actually , my P28 ECU give me code 6 and 10.

I have a spare P28 and i switched some parts between the 2 ECU to find wich one is fried... but without success.
Does somebody have any idea of where to look at ?

( part switched: IC5 and IC6 )

Thanks for the help and sorry about my bad English

So i decide to test my board by replacing HIC1 converter with one from a spare ECU.
We will see if the solution sits here :D

Not find enough time to do the replacement  , the HIC1 daughter board is very hard to desolder and i'm scared to break something

I'll try quietly this week-end and i will see if my problem will be solved or not.

Ok, HIC1 board is replaced but still the same result code 6 and 10 ...

I also tried to replaced IC17 and it's not better so now i don't know where to look at

Does somebody has any idea? :D

So i find that HIC1 daughter board is used for the distributor sensors, so it is not involved in my problem

The only things i didn't replace are C33 and C38 tantalum capacitor, is it possible that the solution of my problem sits here?
I think that no but i'm going to try...

For memory: DM2 DM3 and DM8 where replaced with known good components, same thing with IC 5 and IC 6 , the values on RM1 are ok ...

But you DID change the sensors and the wire harness? Did the other P28 work in your car?

My car run perfectly with my vtec converted P75, i also have a Demon with Neptune on it so i can see that my sensors and my wiring are all good.

The next step is to see if i have some voltage on the pin D15 and D13, to see if the sensors are feeded or not.

Somebody knows how the +5 volt is made by the ECU?

I also replaced all the electrolitic capacitors, the traces on the board are ok, so i don't know now where to look at

So i start to build my "ghetto style" ecu bench, with a computer power supply.
I'm going to add oem sensors and for the igniter, i'm planning to use a spare igniter with a 12volts motor to make it turn

I know it seems "freaky" but i hope it will work

I have tested the power supply system, it works perfectly, just have to had the sensors and it will be ok!
If it works, i will take the time to do something "clean", hope that i will find my problem on my bad ECU with that system :D
