hi guys, this summer i will have to convert some p06 ecu to p28 (vtec convertion)

because im from canada the shipping cost from moates, xenocron etc is a little high.

so i try to find every part from local electronic distributor and i would like to know if i can use that AUIR3313-ND to replace the old IPS521.

http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/AUIR3313/AUIR3313-ND/2605404

Thanks a lot :)

Been researching this for some time in the last few weeks and found that the IPS7081 was sold in some eBay VTEC Kits as an IPS521/SK5151 replacement . I found a similar one to that on mouser.com, it's called AUIPS7081 there. You can probably also use the AUIPS7091 which can only stand a little lower currents, but it should be enough I guess.. the solenoid should only get about .9-1 A at most, as its resistance is 14-30 Ohms from what I can get out of the workshop manuals. The AUIPS7091 has a recommended Iout maximum of 1.5A and the AUIPS7081 has a recommended maximum of 2.3A..
Note that you have to insulate and swap the pins 3 and 5 on these, too. :!:

Hope this is not necroing as the forums have been down for quite a while and it might still help people.

You should be able to find plenty of replacements for the NTE2361/NTE2362. The only thing I was having trouble with was to find one for the NTE2368 (11F0 VTEC kit from moates) and another one (don't remember which transistor or which kit) because they are pre-biased. I actually didn't look for NTE2362 replacements in the first place as PGMFI was down then and I didn't really notice them being a replacement for the original one.

Now I'm convinced that you can use https://www.fairchildsemi.com/datasheet ... N4301R.pdf (pretty much like an NTE2368) or https://www.fairchildsemi.com/datasheet ... N4305R.pdf (R2 is 10k Ohms here) though - they or their newer replacements are both called *RTA instead of *R on mouser.com. I guess I will order some of these and some similar to NTE2362 when I'm getting all the stuff together. I gather that the pre-biased ones are running somewhat more stable from what I read on the internet.
