A friend has a 4 door EK, he wants to chip it but the ecu has 4 plugs...,
I have a obd2a harness and 3 of the ECU plugs fit perfectly.
I plugged in my chipped P28 with the ostrich but the car won't start.
i can't find any info on what the 4th plug is for.

can anyone shed some light on this please?

Edit: it's a P2E ECU- non-vtec d15.

Auto tranny ?[/quote]

Yes, it had an auto tranny but he swapped in a S20.

I found the problem though, I had the wrong harness the car is OBD2B.
I plugged in the harness the car started fine but cuts at 2000prm,
as soon as I have some free time I'll plug in a chipped ECU and check what happens.
