hello everybody i got a question, i have a P28 ecu that i chipped after the chipping job the ecu is on solid cel and limp mode the chipping job is perfect so i asume that the main processor 304 is fried, i want to know if a change the main processor 304 to a p06 processor 301 in to the P28 could fix the problem? is compatible 304 and 301? does anybody done this before?

the 301 processor from the P06 is working nice.

thaknx

I've swapped several processors as a last resort when certain outputs are not a the proper "state" for a healthy ECU with much success. I've always use the same code though.

I did try once to swap a processor with a different but similar code but it didn't work or it just wasn't the cause of the original failure. This does not mean that it not possible so I would go for it and share your experience.

Hello

Yes, the processor 66207/301 operates in replacement of a 66207/304 on a chipped ecu.

Hello

on a chipped ecu.

Interesting point - I can't remember if my failed test was on a chipped ECU or not but most likely not. If it isn't chipped and programmed, do you get a solid CE?
