Hey i am kinda new to all of this but I am running a d16z6 in a crx on a dirt track. i have a problem with it seeming to go into limp mode after about 3-5 laps. I am running it on a basically a stock p28 file in a chipped p06 with vtec enabled. Only thing I really changed on the tune with chrome is raising the rev limiter slightly and dissableing as many sensors as possible. I changed the coolant temp sensor and it seemed a little better but still didnt cure the problem. have tried running it on a stock p28 ecu and a stock p06 and get basically the same results. i have a light on the dash to know when vtec is engaged and I will loose vtec about 1 lap before it shuts down. if I lift and coast at that point it seems to last a little longer but vtec never comes back on. could it be due to the fact that the crx tranny doesnt have a vss? thanks for any help

Not if the vtec speed check is disabled. How do you know its in limp mode? Soild cel? What you checked to see what code it is throwing?
