do i got this p28 on a trade. it had been previously chipped. for some reason vtec does not work. i took my chip out of my accord that i been running and put it into the p28. everything works as it should. 2 step works, but when i hit vtec rpms it boggs out like i hit the redline. i dont think its a program issue as the chip work in my main ecu. i am going to start with swapping the sk5151. just checking to see if anyone has run into this issue before. everything on the board looks perfect.

It doesn't throw any codes? Any way you can datalog it?? Hook up a multimeter to vtec solenoid wire to test if its getting power.

You'll want to figure out if vtec is activating in the rom and just not coming on mechanically, or if it isn't activating at all and staying on low cam.
