Ok i have experienced chipping this ecu twice.

On both occasions they were both automatic boxes.

The ff are my observations:

1. Absence of RP17 & RP18 on the board for a/t to m/t conversion (no empty slots, no marked terminals, nothing)
2. But....No CEL for A/T Lock Up Control Solenoid Valve (it doesn't look for it)
3. It became necessary to enable debug mode in the ROM. Leaving it disabled would cause rough idle quality inspite of the good working ROM being read 100%. A simple debug would be the fix.
4. CEL # 22 turns on (VTEC Oil Pressure Switch) 4 seconds after standard ignition ON and fuel prime procedures.
This inspite of a A4---->D6 bridge on the harness (for OBD2a/b-OBD1 conversions). It would therefore become necessary to install a vtec pressure sensor as this ecu refuses to be fooled LOL

Any chance anybody got an explanation for observations 2,3 & 4?

TIA
