The ecu still thinks its auto and will most likely throw a lockup solenoid code 19.

Remove rp17 and rp18 below the chip, then replace rp18 with a jumper wire.

Now....

You can remove and reuse the leftover auto trans high side switches to convert nonvtec ecu's to vtec. They are the most expensive part of the vtec conversion kit. You can buy the rest of the needed parts for a couple bucks from digikey.

maybe the ECUs were previously converted?

If I forget to convert an ECU to manual trans, it lets me know as soon as I plug it in. :P

old post i know, but i got a question regarding an OBD0 PR4.....would that picture of the OBD1 inside electronics be the same as OBD0?

also if i'm correct thats showing what needs to be removed and jumper wire added to make it a 5spd ECU right?

ive got a 90 integra automatic that im switching to a 5spd, and if thats all thats needed i'll do that instead of locating/buying a 5spd ECU

good stuff

thanks

edit: on that jumper wire i'm seeing 5 solder points at rp18, where exactly does the jumper wire go?

obd1 and obd0 are different.

Heres the trick for obd0 pm6, should be similar to the pr4 but no guarantee since there are differences in the 2 boards.

ok did some searching and found the PM6 and PR4 (OBD0) are the same pinout so thanks :D

now i cant seem to locate and actual pinout that will pull up for me would you possibly know how to stop it from looking for EGR lift solenoid also? i believe those are the only 2 differences between auto and manual otherwise....
thanks
