so i fired up the base boost bin (untouched) and it idled fine, albeit with the maphack supplying about 3.8v, but when i went to press the brake in to shift into drive, the engine would cut out. raised the idle to about 1000rpm properly by first disconnecting the IACV, resetting ecu, and the same thing. all warmed up.

turning on the a/c or turning the power steering also gets it low enough to stumble and not recover, but stepping on the brake is what kills it. a gentle tap will get it to stumble but not stall. so i think the issue might be with the ecu not communicating with the IACV properly.
