Ok, so i spent the last 2 hours looking for info on datalogging. I have a serial datalogging cable i bought 2nd hand, and dont have a clue what brand it is. It looks like a superdroids, except it has different color wires.

In the order that they were switched to- Brown, yellow, red, orange. If i open up the case, is there anyway i can tell whats the +5v, Tx and Rx? I know the brown is ground.

I am also using a JDM PW0-000 ecu, incase thats relevant. Do i need to do anything else to the ECU other than solder in the cn2 header in the cn3 spot, starting with pin 1, and leaving pin 5 empty?

Also, i dont need to install any drivers on my computer do i?

When i hook it up, I get nothing at all. I am unsure of what settings to have my com port at, but ive tried a whole bunch.

Can anyone give me a rundown of this?
To sum it up...
Anyway to tell what wires are what on the cable?
Do i have to modify the ECU past the datalogging header?
What settings does my computer need to be at, com-port wise?

Id realy like to get to tuning, ive been waiting a long time to gather everything i need, now i got it, and it doesnt work. Just frustrated.

I can also post a picture of the inside of my cable if that will help any. Thanks.
