I think its im KPH... as Crome reads 55 mph or so on mine at 90mph where as ECUControl shows 90.

I have a JDM speedo convertor to make my dials read in mph no kph hence the 0.61 factor on the speedo.

On the dyno i logged a full throttle run with 200millisec, after i looked at laptop and it has an error message 14, something out of synch IIRC. This has happened before on a dyno and prevents me saving the log as the program closes upon clicking ok.

What I need to know is is the speed displayed in KPH is correct.
because what I'm doing is take the value in memory of the VSS and divide id by 1.666 to get MPH... so if / 1.666 = 1.4 times more the real speed in mph,

what is the ratio in KPH? Cause for KPH I do not apply any formula. I simply display the byte.

Tell me more about that out of sync error, can you tell me the exact error message ?

Ill try to repeat ther error it later.

Shame really as i wanted to log the power run, still i got to watch the Logworks LC1 output read a steady 13:1 and crack the 200bhp barrier :D

I did another run in KPH and it came out 1.71065 times faster, I also brought the MPH out to 5 places with 1.41192 times faster. Just a thought, but could the VSS be something that needs a different multiplyer depending what vehicle you are running in? I pose this since jonnyvtec reported that it is displaying correctly.

Nick. For OBD1 at least...
The direct output from the ECU is in KPH..
you only need to convert to get MPH.

I suspect OBD0 is the same

If it is any help, I'm running an OBD0 PR4 in a '91 Integra. I can see if I can get my PM6 running and see if there is a differance. Is anyone else logging with an OBD0 that could verify if it is correct on theirs or not?

Can someone drive about 20mph and log in ECU Control.

Post the resultant value as this should allow us to determine what the issue is..

Compare the value on the gauge to what ECUControl feeds back..

Maybe try it at a higher speed.. 60mph or so on the highway

Well, I dont understand why the datalogged speed is not the real speed. I dont know any calculation on the dataloggd value.

Ok, I need precise info.

1st. Is the Gauge wrong or the text display , or both ?
Are you selecting the right measure ?

does the TE plugin display the right speed compared to the standalone ?

50mph today was 110kph on the guages in standalone

I forgot to compare standalone to TE plugin directly, but the standalone on a WOT run from 2700 to 7400 rpm in 2nd gear logged VVS 49 to 152 which is about 24mph to 65mph so that sounds. I used the standalone to log AFR voltages and teh TE pulgin when logging to a CSV file still logs in 0-50 range, unless you select PLX where it shows AFR.

Thanks for all your efforts with this.
