Yeah, apparently the color codes aren't standard. Cut the wire, strip off the pop-port side, and trace the wires back to the pins on the pop port. Here is a pinout of the pop-port

http://pinouts.ru/data/nokia_pop_pinout.shtml

Just figure out which 3 wires goto the GND, Tx, and Rx pins of that connector and hook them to the ECU from the USB side.

As a note, if it doesn't work, try reversing the Tx and Rx, I had that problem.

STOP READING PEOPLES POSTS AND FOLLOWING COLORS!!!

Its not that hard. Listen.
Find the pinout from the phone that cable belonged to.
Then, match the pins in the plug to the wires.
GND
Rx
Tx
Then solder them to the board. Colors don't matter, colors change and are inconsistent, but the plug on the phone is a constant.

If you cant find the plug on the phone, match the wires to the pins on the chip inside the little box and find the layout of the chip online.

*Bah, beaten to it by just a few minutes.

then how about you follow the second half of my post, and trace the wires from the chip in the cable? Open the cable up, and google the number on the chip inside it. Find the pinout of the chip, it should clearly say Rx Tx and GND in the pdf you'll find. Then match the pins on the chip to the wires.

WE CAN'T TELL ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING BASED ON THE RANDOM COLOR OF WIRES IN YOUR CABLE!

i have attempted to do that but it is incased in a soft molded rubber that has a solid seam that doesn't seem to seperate without ripping it.......

you have 5 wires, and 3 pads on the ecu to solder them to. Maybe just test them all?

Get a volt meter, maybe one of them is 5v, and the other one will be gnd which will make this much easier?

Use your multimeter to tell you which color wire does what by following them through the Pop port plug. Here is the pinout of the pop port:

http://pinouts.ru/data/nokia_pop_pinout.shtml

The Tx pin is like pin 6 on the pop port, use the resistance checker on your multimeter to determine which of the five wires is Tx by holding one leg of the multmeter to pin 6, and then trying all 5 wires on the other side. One them will connect. If you determine that the green wire is tx, then there's your answer

Great to find out my dku-5 has 6 wires :lol:

I'll use a multimeter but my question is witch ground do i have to use??? because on the Nokia Pinouts I see

2 GND Charger Ground
8 GND Data GND
- GND shield GND in cavities

I don't have a shield conductor, I suppose it wil be '8 GND data GND', but I'm not sure, could anyone confirm??

both grounds should be the same anyway. But if you must use "just one" then go for #8

I checked the colors with a multimeter.

Green = Data +
White = Data -
#8 doesn't give connection to any of my wires
#2 does make connection with the blak wire, so I'd use this wan

Black = GND

Tomorrow I'll programm a .bin on my eprom, then i'll test if connection is wright..
