I finally got ECUcontrol to datalog my OBD1 ECU, things seem to work great except for one thing..

I can read TPS with the simple code 15 and clicking 'read address'. It shows valid changes whenever I press the throttle, even the smallest change shows. But when I start logging, the TPS % does not read the lower 40% or so of throttle changes. I can slowly accelerate to about 40mph in 2nd gear and it still shows throttle as 0. When I peg the throttle, it does not reach 100%, but maybe 85-90% The maximum hexadecimal value I read was ($EF) or decimal 239, and min ($18) or decimal 24. Any ideas why the lower throttle changes do not reflect in the throttle bar?

Because Ecucontrol suxx at obd1 support ;)
Will be fixed in future release. Still have to find time and debug the code with an obd1 car.

PRoblem:
There is an offset, not your honda's fault but the ecucontrol software.
If you read the byte when you leave the gaspedal,
what value do you get ?
My was about decimal 13
So I programmed my own software with a offset control.
The 0% starts with 13 and 100% is 255 so my range is from 13 to 255(0-100%)

I'm not sure ecucontrol provides it in the future ?
You have to ask him.

Anton

Well, the offset I use is good for obd0 pm6 running engine. and I like it that way cause it can help diagnose faulty adjusted TPS. and Yes, I will make a support for adjustable tps.

My idle offset was 0x18 or 24 decimal

I believe my max value was 0xEA or 234 decimal. Maybe will go higher if I adjust throttle cable, but haven't had a change to check that yet.

Okay, Seems to be good values,
My offset was 13 decimal
and 231 maximal.

Synoptic, you are the best :-)
