also where do i get the CN2 plug to solder into the ecu?? and those black connectors for the wires to and from the max233 from CN2??

I use a Palm Vx

and if i get that one i need to get the serial cable also right? sorry for the dumb questions, i'm not to big on this kinda stuff

CN2 - Use what ever you can find. It doesen´t have to be pretty.

Palms - The easiest way is to get an older model (Vx is okay - 20Mhz, 8MB RAM).
The Vx comes with a RS232 cradle as standard. In fact this is all it can do.

The Palm M500/M505/M515 works too, but the standard cradle is USB only. Either modify it for RS232 (see my other post) or buy a cradle/cable on Ebay or someting.

The M500 is 33Mhz and has an SD slot for memory expansion (the Vx has none)

i have attempted to use my Vx with a MAX 232 board with no success. i have tried using the cradle connected directly to the maxboard. synoptic, what cables exactly are you using and with which ROM?

i'm using Vx factory rs232 cable and the GhD rom on my site.

I didnt work on EC for the NGx rom being developped. waiting until things stabilize.

zero communication with a Pm6 ROM from EC site, Max 232 and palm Vx, tried various communication speeds, etc. I am starting to think that i FUBAR'ed the serial kit on assembly :-/ how can i test that damn thing?
