Is this possible??? I want to get a Samsung i600 - nice phone that has USB connectivity, and PDA capabilities, but its not Pocket PC, its Windows Mobile.

It looks very similar and runs Pocket Outlook and Pocket Internet Explorer, and media player.

Any ideas as to wether EcuControl logging might work on this as if it were Pocket PC 2002? I have no idea wether or not its .NET or not, would .NET be the determining factor?

Thanks- J

if I had all the little gadgets, phones and pda in hand, I'd developp EC for all of those platforms. Unfortunately, it is very hard to code up some programm without a platform to test it.

EcuControl PalmOS is out btw, but only been tested on PM6

I found out the Smart runs on .Net, it looks like the only difference is that apps are designed to run on 176x220 instead of 320x240.

So i think i will give it a try for you, unless your not busy (like normal people arent bust) i could ship it to you for a few days to play with. They come with a USB cable. If not no prob, ill just see if it works and if not i'll just stick to using a laptop.

thanks -john

I'm thinking that if you'd normally use an adapter cable to go from usb/RS232 on the controler end, then you probably could go directly TTL-TTL.

I'm currently writting an OBD-0 datalogging suite for Windows CE. Im writtting it in C and i'm using my SPV E200 Smartphone.

Seems the way to go, datalogging without the big heavy laptop.
